Sandra--

My name is Dee Hartsock Fisher. I am the 2nd-great granddaughter of Mary K. Burnard Johnson Tippie. She is the daughter of Aaron and Mary McCullough Burnard. I found the page on the Athens County USGenWeb site that has a picture of the Burnard family. Your information on Mary is not quite correct. Here is what I have:

Mary K. Burnard, born about 1858 to Aaron and Mary McCullough Burnard; married Thomas Johnson, born about 1830 (Civil War, 135th Ohio Infantry), 2 Apr 1876 in Hocking County, Ohio; Thomas died sometime after 1880; Mary remarried to Henderson Tippie 1 Jan 1898 in Perry County, Ohio; she died 23 May 1934 in Hemlock, Perry County, Ohio.

Her children are: (with Thomas Johnson) Annie Johnson (b. about 1877) and Amanda Johnson(b. 1879--My great grandmother); (with Henderson Tippie) William McKinley Tippie(b. 1899).

I would appreciate any other information you might have on Aaron, Mary, and their parents.

Thanks!

I found this census interesting because Abraham and  Rosetta's daughter Hulda Burnard married James Lantz and when Hulda died in  1921 from complications of childbirth,  James Lantz married to the widow Elizabeth Johnson Parks. Elizabeth was a widow at that time because her husband Ed Parks had died in a coal mine accident in Murray City and James tried to save him but brought him out of the mine and he died. Mr. Parks was buried in the Murray City cemetery. James  married Elizabeth soon afterwards and they moved to Belmont county so he could work in the coal mines there in Lansing.  James Lantz and his father John Lantz are buried in the Lansing Cemetery near Blaine, Ohio.  James Lantz and Hulda Burnard had several children:

Hocking County Death Certificate, Ward Township May 8, 1920 Hulda Jane Lantz
died of complicating pregnancy, signed by Dr. Cox May 10, 1920, Murray City Ohio
Burial in Bethel Ridge Cemetery on May 11, 1920. Signed by James Lantz of Murray

born in Ohio. She was born 7-25-1885. At death she was 35 years, nine months, and 15 days old. Her occupation was domestic.
Bethel Ridge Cemetery list in Peters Papers, OU Library Archives shows Hulda Jane Lantz, 1884-1920. Also in the cemetery, Rosa M. Lantz, daughter of John and Sarah Lantz, died July 2, 1890, aged 1 year and 16 days.
