Hello, I am searching for information about my great grandfather, Elmer G. Davis. He was born in Athens County on October 26, 1868. I know that his parents were a Lewis Davis and a Mary Gillen. He married a Louisa Copper in Athens County when he was in his mid to late twenties. They had eight children: Elma, Mayme, Edna, Ella, Estella, Theodore, Thaddeus and Ola. I believe that the first couple of children were also born in Athens County. I know the twins, Ella and Estella, were born in Hemlock in Perry County. Elmer Davis worked as a blacksmith for the mines. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information about any of the aforementioned people. John reenlisted in the Union Army he gave his residence as still
being Athens, Athens County Ohio. He was discharged from

I am looking for information on Hiram P. Nutter who would have

before 1852. He was married to Mary J. Schuman around 1870. They
lived
in Hocking county in 1872, because I found the birth record of my
3rd
great grandfather, their son, born then and the record listed
them as
living in Greene township in Hocking county. I can't find any
marriage
information, or birth information on Hiram or Mary. I thought
maybe
they were recorded in Athens county, as part of the eastern
county line
that is now Hocking county was Athens county prior to 1850.

I do know alot about the Daniel Herrold family of Athens
co. I know of his
second wife Elizabeth Harper and her ancestry. but I

Looking for any information on family of Nathaniel
Conner. I presume his
the father of my ggg grandfather, Calvin Conner, born in
Athens Co about 1818. Nathaniel Conner came to Athens Co
from VT after 1803, and probably before 1810. Nathaniel
settled in Rome Twp. Calvin Conner married Maria Collins
in 1839 in Athens Twp. Maria may have been daughter of
John Collins of Athens Twp.
Any information on Conner or Collins would be extremely
welcome.

in Ohio;
Marion Blizzard CARSEY, his wife was born in New Jersey, ca.1800.
They
should be listed in 1800-1830 census for Athens County with
several
children, one of them being Silas CARSEY born 12 Dec. 1825(my
great-grandfather.

Julia Ann Tracy. He was born in PA and she was born in Ohio. One
of their children Elizabeth married Peter Stackhouse December
1867 in Mconnellsville,Fayettte, PA and they had 8 children. She
is buried in Pittsburgh, PA. Any info that you have and would be

VANBIBBER
who were married on November 29, 1907 in Athens County. Alice was
the
daughter of Judson VANBIBBER and Bell CLENDENIN. Living in York
Township on the Athens County 1920 census with the following
children: Flossie - 1909, Belle - 1911, and Jesse - 1912.

Augustus GRAHAM who mar. Diana BROOKS, a widow, in 1895 in Athens
