I'm searching for info on GEORGE W. NOLAN born 31Jan1823 some- where in OHIO. No info on his parents or siblings. His father was refered to as "Old Neddy" or "Old Natty" by grandchildren. GEORGE W. NOLAN md DRUSILLA BOWMAN on 18Sept1843 in Vermillion County, Indiana. I am researching my mother's family who appear to have originatedin the Athens Ohio area. I have been able to trace my mother's great grandfather and his wife to Athens, Ohio. Both were born in Athens in 1826. They had the following children in Ohio before moving the family to Ottumwa, Iowa in approximately 1852-1855. I am looking for ANY information regarding the great grandparents...and who their parents might have been and where they might have originated from.

I am searching for information on my maternal grandmother, Olive Luzetta BLACK, born ca1900 at Malta, Morgan County, Ohio. She had 3 sisters, Ella, Roberta, cant remember the 3rd, and 1 brother, Melvin. The sisters all married, the brother remained a bachelor. Olive's father was Hill (or Heil) Chapman BLACK. Olive married William Arthur EDLEMAN, probably at Athens, Ohio. I have data on EDLEMAN, but would like to find more on BLACK and on my grandmother's maternal line which is completely unknown. Looking for information on Hiram "Mack" Baker who was born Jan. 1849 in Ky and lived in Buchtel Ohio, Athens County, in 1900 census. He lived on Marietta Ave. and his daughter, Emma who was born 12/1895, was my grandmother. Hiram's wife was Belle Fox and I believe this to be at least a second marriage. Belle's mother was Emiline Fox, born 10/1838 in Ohio. She was a Sharp, born in Ohio and both her parents were from the U.K. Emma Baker had a brother Hiram Jr., and a sister, Olive "Ollie". Emma had in 1900, a half-brother, John, born 1880, a half-brother Allen, born 1884, and a half sister Anna, born 1885. Any information appreciated. Emma married my grandfather, Frank Pierce Smith, in 1913 and settled in WV. I am not sure of where they married. Frank worked on the Railroad and was originally from VA.

Searching for LUCK, DUKORN, WEISFLOCK, family members. Henry Luck is supposed to have died in service during a war in mid 1800's. His wife Elizabeth (Zimmermann) Luck left Virginia with her luggage (which contained the deed to their farm) and small children, (#?). The trunk with the farm deed was lost. The farm was sold for back taxes, (location of farm unknown). I only know the name of one child, William born abt 1850. Henry's father's name is possible Wilhelm Henrich Leuck. The family is said to have come from Bavaria, Germany. His mother was possibly Barthena. I have a Martin Luck who married Dorthea Mamie Dukorn, this is direct descendant to me. Am looking for any and all descendants of George Leonard EMERICK, born in Pennsylvania on July 30, 1767. He married Julianna HETRICK, born in Pennsylvania in 1773. Together, they had 4 children while still in Pennsylvania (NOTE: They were from the Northumberland Co. section of PA): Maria Catherine, born 22 Oct 1795; Maria Elizabeth, born 28 Jun 1797; John Michael, born 13 Mar 1799; and Maria Magdalena, born 12 Jun 1801. Supposedly, they moved west to Perry County, Ohio, but have been unable to place them. I am compiling a book on a colateral line and am DESPERATE for any information on descendants of the above named individuals.

Family legend says she was disowned from her family for marrying (2nd) to an Abraham Bath in Fulton Co IL in 1867.
