Jonathan Wilson but not proven. Matthew was in the Civil War, Co.

The 1850 Lodi Twp, Athens Co, Ohio Census lists the family of
a Joseph Frost, lumberman, 60, born 1789-1790 in Massachusetts.
His wife was Roda/Rhoda, 48, born 1801-1802 in New York. Their
children all born in Ohio were Lucy, Levi, Alva, Clarissa,
Elmina, and Orlinda, all born between 1830/1831 and 1843/1844. A
family member states that Joseph Frost came from the same family
line as the poet Robert Frost. Does anyone know whether Robert
Frost's family tree has been assembled? If so, I would appreciate
knowing where I could obtain a copy. I could share copies of
pictures of Clarissa at various ages and one of a boy Willie
Frost, which says he was born in Nelsonvillle, Ohio Feb 19, 1813.
I do not know his relationship.

1829-d 1894) m. 1855 Martha TEWKSBURY (b 1836-d 1895). Their

Moore, Vincent Moore, Alexander Of Perry County Ohio. I have most
of the descendants of James Moore, except for his daughter Adda,
and her husband, DeLong, George. The Delongs lived in Corning,
Ohio, where I believe Mr. DeLong was a school principal. Both are
burried in the Crooksville Cemetary. Vincent and Alexander Moore
appear to be the younger brothers of James Moore. They are listed

Census of Troy Township, Athens County, Ohio Page 185 #1805 shows
a N. S. Wilson as a 31 year old male living with Nathan Hatch who
is listed as 60 years old from NH. Nathan and Sarah had the
following Children; Alice M. Wilson born 17 Oct 1855, Athens
County Married John Newton Rothgeb and died 25 Dec 1883 and
burried at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Perly Alexander Wilson born 30
Jan 1876, Cheshire, Gallia County and died 23 Oct 1887, burried
at Gravel Hill Cemetery, Gallia County. Never Married Nathan was
also married to a Dorcas Green Ford born 3 Nov 1834 marriage date
10 Feb 1881 Athens County Ohio. Clues to look for; Nathan mother
maiden name could have been Spencer. His mother's father could
have been named Narthan Spencer . Any neasr date or locations

Resolved was listed in the 1850 Athens census with his wife, Othenia FULLER (23 yrs) and his daughter, Nancy FULLER (3 yrs). Two other children were later born, Mary and Henry. The FULLER'S left Ohio and travelled to Iowa and then to Kansas, were Resolved served in the Civil War with the 11th Ks Calvary. Katharina WIXLER in Germany. They settled in PA, then Athens Co,
OH, and had these children: Catherine (b1853, m John HERROLD),

Christopher HERROLD), Mary (b1860), Jacob (b1861, m Elizabeth

Looking for my greatgrandfather, Chandler Price TAYLOR. I posted
this first under unknown counties but now I think it was either
Washington County or Athens County because my father says his
grandmother said it was Marietta. He was a Civil War vet, so he
was probably born ca 1835-1845. The information I originally had
about his birth was that it was in 'Morristown', of which there
are or were 3 in Ohio, hence the unknown county. But one of them
is in Athens county which is next to Washington, where Marietta
is, and my father also recalls her saying it was 'down near the
river'. Anyway he was married to Rosetta LUPHER, who was
originally from PA. He was her second husband; her first was
surnamed GILSON (don't know given name) and her son by that
marriage had the given name Morris - presumably related to
'Morristown', so the Gilsons were probably also from Ohio. The
TAYLORs had three daughters, Augusta, Eva (b. 1882, who became my
grandmother) and Nellie. They were still living in Ohio when Eva
was born in 1882, though they eventually returned to
Pennsylvania, I don't know when. He is buried in PA. It is a
reasonable guess that CHANDLER and PRICE were maiden names of his
mother and/or grandmother(s) but I have no evidence of that.

I am researching the descendants of D. Otho Richards, and the
descendants of Dominick McFoy, and also the descendants of
Sylvester Noland. Sylvester's wife Emily Jane Richards Noland
died in Washington County 10-7-1907. Emily was the aunt of John
Ellsworth McFoy who married her daughter Carolyn Melissa Noland
in Washington County, John was residing in Athens county, Ohio at
the time. John and Carolyn had children Georgia Elizabeth and
Benjamin F. and John E. McFoy. Also Daniel McFoy the brother of
John E. McFoy and son of Dominick McFoy married Clara Oella
Hazelrigg in Washington County, Ohio. I am trying to complete a
family history for myself and other descendants. It is very
confusing sorting through all the interrelated marriages. I would
appreciate any information from other researchers, I am willing

I am looking for the parents of Mariah Hyde Lattimer, whom was
born in Athens, Amesville, on August 19, 1825. I have searched
some records and come across a death record with David and
Catherine as parents...no last name for the mother. However,
searching the LDS library information and came across a Daniel D.
Latimer and a Katherine Hyde whom were married on August 17, 1823
in Athens, Amesville, Ohio. Daniel's Middle name could be David
and since it was common to give the wife's maiden name as a
middle name to the children...possibly this couple could have
been Mariah's parents. The marriage place of Daniel and Katherine
is the same place as the birth of Mariah....If anyone has

Charles Milton HORN b. 1880 was living in Athens, Athens County,
Ohio in 1900. At that time he wrote a letter to his brother
stating that he was working for "the Engineers". This
Charles Horn's family never heard from him again. Does anyone
have an idea what "engineers" he might have been
talking about?
