Philip W. Lampson born 1 Jan 1914 Athens Co, OH - died. 13 May 1884 Eudora, Douglas Co, KS and is buried at Hesper Cemetery, Eudora, Douglas Co, KS.  He married on 26 Dec 1832 at Athens Co, OH to Mary called Polly Tracy, the daughter of Jonas P. and Susannah (ne'Curtiss) Tracy. Polly was b. 20 Oct 1811 at Palmyra Wayne Co, NY - d. 16 Mar 1889 Eudora, Douglas Co, KS and is buried with her husband. They had 11 children of record all born in Athens County, OH at or near Bern Township: 1. Alice Elizabeth called 'Allie' who married 1st Elijah Hatch James and 2nd Charles Luther Scates; 2. Esther who married James Glazier Johnson; 3. Emma who married Robert Lindsey Squires; 4. Susanna T. who married Edmund Stauton aka Edward Stanton; 5. Jonas P. Trace who married Eliza Jane Park; 6. Elizabeth Ann called 'Lydia' who married William F. Porter; 7. Edgar Phillip who married Minnie Miller; 8. Nancy who married Charles Streeter, 9. William Ezra who married but whose wife's name we don't have; 10. Mary called Polly who married Oscar M. Mortimer Lyons.

Mr.and Mr. James :: Elijah Hatch James, son of David and Lydia ne'Hatch James. Lydia is daughter of Elijah Hatch - Judge and Senator of Athens of County OH. 

Elijah Hatch James grandson of Judge Elijah Hatch was b. 14 Sep 1827 Bern Twp ,Athens Co,OH - d. 15 Sep 1864 Grantville, Jefferson Co, KS. He died of illness. He was buried on a hillside overlooking the family homestead near Grantville. The area is now private cattle land and the grazing cattle knocked down and broke his headstone. His descendants gathered the pieces, glued them together and had the headstone mounted in a steal frame and moved to Vinland Cemetery in Douglas Co, KS where it was placed next to his son, the only one of his 4 children to survive to have issue, and then the stone was concreted into the ground to prevent removal by vandals. The remains of Elijah Hatch James were not moved. Elijah married on 25 Oct 1849 at Athens Co, OH to Alice Elizabeth called 'Allie' Lampson, the daughter of Phillip W. and Mary called 'Polly' ne'Tracy Lampson. Allie was born 9 Sep 1833 Bern Twp, Athens Co, OH - d. 3 Mar 1921 Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co, CA. She is buried at the Lancaster Cemetery District in Kern Co, CA. They had 4 children: Charles Austin James (1851-1931) who married 1st Rebekah ne'Pearson who was mother of all his children and 2nd Margaret J. Jones and 3rd Mary Elizabeth Hoskinson; Emma James who died age 21 years (1856-1877), Calvin James who died in infancy (1853-1854); Flora who died age 16 (1858-1874).
