Freeware Programs
These download links are for Windows, but on the respective websites other versions are available.

Gimp - Image program

I personally use all the above.
Other pay programs I use are Microsoft Frontpage 4.0, Paint Shop Pro 7, and Family Tree Maker 8.0.
Here is a program reccommended by our 2005 National Coordinator:
"Xenu Link Sleuth".It is a freeware program you download onto your machine, and you can run it to check all the links on any web page (or a whole web site). Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, plug-ins,Thanks Shari Handley!
backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets. It generates a report of all broken links, and you can set it to also generate a site map. You can set it to email the report, or to generate an html version of it.
