Their children: Martha Jane VICKROY, born 1863, possibly April 1863, married William Franklin DORRIS in Feb. 1886; John E. VICKROY, born 1869 in OH., married William PRICE; Thomas H. VICKROY, born 1871, possibly July 1871, in Ringold, Union Township., Morgan Co., OH., married Nancy Agnes CHAPPELEAR in Jan.1897 in Morgan Co., OH. Nancy was born in 1875, possibly Feb. 1875,
in Morgan Co., OH. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated by myself and a number of other VICKROY family members (distant cousins of mine/ours) and VICKROY researchers, as this is apparently a common 'roadblock'. (I've searched through hundreds of pages myself.) Please contact me at my e-mail address. I have other names of Samuel's and Margaret's descendents that have come from 'internet' sources, and if you would like them, I will gladly forward them to you. (I am not married to, have never been, nor have ever heard of a 'Katherine Spies', as shown on Ancesty.com, - my wife would surely like to know, though!!) Thanks to any and all of you in advance.

HARKINS, DUGAN

I am looking for information on a Mary Dugan Harkins, who moved to Morgan county sometime after 1817, after the death of her husband, Unknown Harkins. I believe I read somewhere in some Statewide Ohio information, that she moved to Morgan county, with her nine children, possibly moving with other family members. Unknown Harkins is shown to have died abt. 1817, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania. I am researching Harkins from Morgan county, my GGGGrandfather, William Harkins, married Elizabeth Thompson, in Athens county, Ohio, 25 June 1832, but resided in Morgan county, where they had their 12 children. William Harkins born abt. 1810, in/of Chester county, Pa., Elizabeth Thompson born about 1816/1817, Chester county, Pa. I am specifically looking for William's family, father, mother and siblings. I am suspecting that Mary Dugan may be the missing link I have been looking for to connect to William. This is the only information I have on him. I do have family information on Elizabeth Thompson. Levi, their one son, is my direct line, who married Asenath Michener, and resided in Morgan county.
